Marching Band 09

YAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Ok, Im in marching band now and i love it!!! it has its ups and down but so does everything else. i am in the pit which is the xylo phones, marumbas, rack, the bass drum and gong, the vibes, synthisizer, and what i play the bells!!! Our theme is the wizard of oz!! we have a dorthy(color guard), a scarecrow(melephone), a tin man(trumpet) and a cowardly lion(tuba or suzaphone).Following our theme we also have coldplay songs like viva la vida,yellow, and fix you. This saturday(october31 2009) we will be going to reionals, then the next saturday is state!!!!! im soooo excited! I think we have a good chance of winning state or at least getting 2nd but i probly will cry if we dont go to state and that will REALLY surprise everyone. Following the bells i play the base drum, gong and the viberslap(if you dont know what that is LOOK IT UP!!) The best part of band is the part of awards when were all in 2 lines or in the bleachers the crowd is dead silent you could hear a pen drop a mile away...................."1st place............grand Champion............winner of state.......IS..........MECER COUNTY!" Detail aten hut! HUT!" That hut, knowing you won knowing you did your job and left it all on the feild is the best feeling you could ever have. Or the bus ride to and from the competition! And our assitant band directer said if we win state she will get a tattoo of somesort!!!!!!
At state we were stunned when we stepped (or in my case rode) on the field our minds turned to smush. the lights were so bright and there were like 50 million people there!!!!! we had our best performance of the year!!!! we were so excited we felt that we had it in the bag. we felt wonderful we walked on the field with smile and gitter bugs in our stomachs. we lined up and got butterflys when they called 1A got tired at 2A, at 3A we got uneasy and when they called 4A i FREAKED OUT!!!! i got so scared and straightened up and actually felt tall for the first time! but when they said 4th place goes to.........................MERCER COUNTY!!!!!!!!!!!! i looked at each one of my pit members one at a time and watched them cry and i of course had to come out and cry two. Not just a tear rollen down my cheak, a cry that hurts your lungs and your heart as if someone stabbed u with a knife. 3rd place South Oldham 2nd Grant County and 1st of course our biggest rival Madisonville :( we had a 92 and a 87 the highest of all classes and the lowest. When my band directer put that yellow medal around my neck i was tore apart. But for my first year of marching band 4th place in state is pretty good. Daddys back

My dad also has a blog called thethirdway.blogspot.com. My dad has recently had back surgery on his herniated disk. My dad thinks that his waterbed "making it worse" in addition to my moms hip problems. So after my dad had his surgery he has been sleeping in my pink,(i hate pink,my room is not pink it's pepto bisma pink-theres a difference) bubblegum,monkey,purple,brown,girly room.

4-H Teen Sumit

On Saturday march 8,2009 i went to j-bez kentucky. There i was considered and talked to like a teenager. I was in a dorm room with my 3 other friends, tori,jenna, and shawnee. About 10 miutes after we settled in, the room was a mess! Candy wrappers and coke bottles everywere. If there was a 100,000 dollar prize for every piece of trash we found, We'd be richer than the richest person on earth.

At 8:00 the first night we were already tired. We had a guest speaker who gets payed to talk to teens.he talked about the way boys can carry all their stuff in a walmart bag for the weekend an girls bring BAGZZZZZZ!! He also talked about this.....

"hey" Susie sayed as she approched josh after the game.

"oh,you came! I didn't see you in section D row 13 2nd person to the right."

The only thing on that girls mind is "ewwww, you need to take a shower." But don't say that...It'll crush our little hearts.

The only thing a guy is thinking or saying is" You puurty."

At 10:00pm we had ice cream

At the teen sumit i took 4 workshops.

The night before me and my friends stayed up all night fighting till 5:45 in the morning! Dana our camp leader came and said "go...2 sleep...now!" In a deep tone.

The next day the get up and move class helped me stay awake. I was with shawnee and we were line dancing. Our fav thing 2 do.

In nature and hiking we got to go inside a cave and i didn't notice but we had to go up hill the whole way back to the cafeteria.

Archery wasn't as much fun as it is at 4-H camp.We had to wear arm guards. I've never used one before and prefer not to.

The spa was amazing.it was all dark and we had hot water with epsin salt in it. We had refreshments and a toast at the end. We also got to do each others nails and get a foot massage.

Recently i added a new member to my family, edgar. A sweet little dog who eats his own poop and has ears bigger than an elephant.

What? Hey who wrote that?

edgar? sweet? yes he eats poop and yes his ears are bigger than an elephant. Sweet is not something to discribe him by.
